Nickel Alloy 405, Monel® R-405

Monel R-405 is a blend of nickel-copper alloy and is a part of the Monel superalloys family. Basically found in shapes like rod, bar, and wire, the superalloy offers improved mechanical approaches due to a larger sulfur percentage. Additionally, this Monel R-405 has superb corrosion resistance property and high strength capabilities. These characters turn it to an ideal product that suits the difficult marine and chemical conditions. It is well resistant to sulfuric acids, and works very well in subzero temperatures.

Chemical Composition:

• Nickel- Up to 63%
• Copper- Up to 28-34%
• Carbon- Up to .3% max
• Manganese- Up to 2% max
• Iron- Up to 2.5% max
• Silicon- Up to 0.5 max
• Sulfur- Between 0.025-0.060%
