Stainless Steel Alloy 17-4 PH, UNS S17400

Stainless Steel Alloy 17-4 aka UNS S17400 is a precipitation-hardening metal. The alloy contains a strong combination of excellent corrosion resistance and high strength.

The martensitic alloy composes following ingredients in its fabrication-

• Iron- In balanced form
• Chromium- Between 15-17%
• Nickel- Between 3-5%
• Copper- Between 3-5%
• Manganese- Up to 1.5% max
• Silicon- Up to 0.7% max
• Niobium- Up to 0.45% max
