Stainless Steel Alloy 416 is highly machinable and cost-effective martensitic free alloy. It offers nice resistance to acids, alkalis, fresh water and air. It is lesser resistive against corrosion than austenitic steels. The alloy has the highest standard of machinability among all stainless steels. It can be brought in numerous forms which include tempered, hardened, and unhardened.
